Hi guys! This is my first post in this forum and I'm very glad to be a member of this forum because it aims to improve the idea behind TRoS: To be as simulative as possible while guarding the playability.
So here comes my point: Me and my friends are veterans of The Dark Eye (Das schwarze Auge) the biggest german pnp and since it's a 1d20 system and my buddies are really reluctant to accustomize to new stuff when it comes to pnp I'd like to introduce the tros system by leaving the beloved d20 system to them.
I wonder if someone else made a similar attempt.
This is still very scetchy in my mind but I think that, for example, you could instead of reducing the CP, lower the value you have to role by the CP malus (in TDE the higher the stat, the better, you have to role lower than that).

Alrik the soldier has an attack of 17. He tries a maneuver wich gives -2CP in tros. So we give him attack -2. To achieve he has to role 15 or lower now.

I'm not the best in stochastics so I don't know how this influences the probability.

Sorry for any weird sentences but I'm not very trained in english.

Thank you

Welcome to trosfans!!

Yay Codex Martialis!!!

Codex Martialis is TRoS combat for 3.5.

However, it introduces a dice pool mechanic for 3.5 (up to 4 d20s instead of just 1) so that each character has an array of defensive and offensive tactical choices during melee combat.

Have a chat with Jean on the Codex forum -- he will happily answer all of your questions. He was also a mjor contributor to TFoB for TRoS.

Regards,

Thank you so far! I bought CM and I am going to try to get the most out of it for my own system. Maybe I'll post it when its done. But until then, I will stick around and see what good ideas you guys had to improve tros.

Beste Grüße
