Hey guys, I just tried to go to the theriddleofsteel.net site and found it has expired... so my question is, when is someone going to take the TRoS Mechanics and make a new, updated and improved, system? Since it is abundantly clear that TRoS is dead...

Its sad to see such a great game die, but it has, RPG's need support, and more products that we're jst never going to see.

Oh well, just thought I'd be the bearer of bad news.

Cheers!

Someone ought to snap up the domain to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands.

When Shenmue 3 is released, you can expect either Sorcery and the Fay or a refund to land on your doorstep ;)

Also, Duke Nukem Forever will be halfway finished, and a specific girl will agree to go out on a date with me.

The domain is held by the registrar until a certain grace period expires without renewal. That grace period is many months at least; it might even be a year. No doubt you all read my post in the Driftwood forum regarding PDFs. Actually, I'm certain nobody did because no questions followed... :o

I renewed the forums domain but I'm not renewing the corporate site. That is in George's hands.

Regards,

Actually, I did read that post on the official forums, but I didn't take time to ask about it. So, what's up with it? I keep hoping I'll have an infusion of cash to buy the PDFs, but it just hasn't happened yet.

The post was on this forum, in the Driftwood area. I simply mentioned in the PDF Purchase thread that all funds generated by PDF sales have now been paid to George. Following on from that conversation with George we will soon stop selling PDFs through trosfans. Hence the post on the official forum.

I noticed theriddleofsteel.net being down a couple of days back and thought it was old news... But since it's down now, should (and could) we host the weapon reference tables, widgets and other stuff that used to be available for free there?

But Ian, what's the reasoning behind the withdrawal of selling the .pdf's?

We could certainly do that.

Because we've been asked to. :)

Selling the PDFs was always a pretty grey thing to be doing. We didn't have authorization to do it and we were only doing it because there was no other way for anyone to get a hold of the rule books. George has been paid for those PDFs that we've sold, he has said that he will soon have an online store through which the official PDFs may be purchased, and when that happens we are to stop selling the PDFs.

Regards,
