I'm interested in playing, but as for playstyle... Can you explain the different ways and the biggest differences?

Hey Jegol, welcome aboard.

As for the different Playstyles that'll be handled in the Play Style thread. But basically, we're talking about Narrist, Simmist, and Gamist, and about Actor Stance and Director Stance. Now if you have no idea what any of those mean, don't worry (I barely understand them either), you can look up various definitions and discussions about them on these boards.

Ian and Grettir understand them the best, and I'm sure that if you are still struggling with them by the the time we are discussion Play Style they'll be happy to explain them to you :)

Cheers & God Bless!

Thanks!

I've heard those terms around a lot, I think what's new for me is the Directors stance. I think I'll be able to pick it up easily.

Well, you know, Crow Caller, I'm (only) interested in a game that would allow me some degree of Author and Director Stance and that has some infusion of Narrativism/Story Now. No purely Actor Stance Sim/Right To Dream game for me, thanks, I've had an ample dozen years of them. :)

Hey Grettir, I think there are enough people who enjoy Nar, and Author/Director Stance to guarenty that the game with include it to some degree.

Anyway let's let others voice their interest in the game before we chase them off with too much discussion about Play Style. But I will say, unless everyone else voices objection to Nar and Author/Director Stance I can almost guarenty it will be included in the game ;)

Cheers!

Hey guys, my fiance is interested in playing in the game I am going to run, but I thought I'd run it by you guys first to make sure it is okay.

Some people don't like couples at the same table as they are worried there will be favourtism and other such things.

Although I can say that I will be an impartial GM I still leave it up to you guys wether or not it is okay. It is okay to say you'd rather she didn't play, she promises not to get upset :)

Cheers & God Bless.

PS: I'll open up the Play Style thread in a few days, I just want to give others a chance to jump on board if they want. The more the merrier and all that :D

Sounds cool Crow Caller, I personally have no problem as my girlfriend plays at the same table time to time.

Just no cuddling at the table k?

No problems for me... I myself consider my girlfriend a better referee than I am, except in the game-mechanical stuff...

Alright cool, well as long as everyone else is alright with it, should I make a new account for her, or just use my own?

The latter would be easier for me (no need to swtich accounts back and forth), tho I wonder if it would get confusing for you guys?\

Thoughts?

Confusion would ensue at some point or another im sure :?

You could just leave a different signature or something before just so we know, of course.

Ja I was thinking maybe putting her text in a different color and signing it.

Don't make it pink and we have a deal.

Honestly, I have no idea how confusing this might be. :) My only similar experience from that field is that a when a group of people "synced" their avatars in another forum and having different people using same avatars was extremely confusing.
