Yes, absolutely. Our plan is to release the pdf immediately and only then, two or three months later, when we have learned from people's questions about rules and mechanics where our presentation might not have been quite as clear as we intended it to be and have made the corresponding cosmetic (and only cosmetic) changes, to release a definite hardcopy edition. We do want to give people shelling out good money for a hardcopy the best possible product right away, a definite, ultimate edition.

I think this is a good approach - very considered and considerate - thanks.

Hi Folks!

Just wanted to check in with all of you and let you know that we are pouring on the coals to make the deadline! Tom has turned in the new Blade Character Sheet and it looks just wonderful, truly as well designed as any sheet I have seen from the large rpg houses.

Right now there are a flurry of emails going to and fro, as adjustments continue at a furious pace.

Straight to the finish line!

Phil

Sounds wonderful!

It's unbelievable after so many months of waiting ;)

Yes, it has been an amazing process - one that I could never imagine going alone!

We, the Blade team (Michael, myself, Tom, Mick, Ian, Ryan, Alex, and Adam), can honestly say that we left it all on the field, and have held nothing back in our attempt to produce our best game for you. It has been an emotional roller-coaster ride, and like you, we will be overjoyed to cross the finish line and pop those Champagne corks!

Regards,

Phil

Anyone else on the team have an even greater respect for Jake and Brian and what they achieved as part-timers? Anyone imagine doing this not knowing whether anyone would read it? I know there's an audience for Blade... :D

Less than a week to Christmas -- and not much more to be done. It is an exciting race at the 11th hour.

Regards,

Dear Sirs,
I'm very happy :D
will you create another website for Blade project?
It's a big international project, what nationality is each of you?

That is an interesting question. Yes, Blade will have its own beautiful website. While I like trosfans and its community very much, I do believe it is time for trosfans to move into archive mode where all but one forum will be locked and that one forum will handle everybodies questions (such as they are). Blade though deserves its own website, its own forum, its own community.

So there are changes afoot!

Regards,

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to check in with you and report.

The layout is done, the art completed, and we are headed into our big review this weekend.

After Michael and I submit our final changes (yes, there are always more changes) then the layout team will implement those changes and post the adjusted material to Michael and I for one last review.

Once that review is complete (with hopefully no new errors discovered along the way), both the Table of Contents and Index will get their needed update to ensure that all entries are being directed to their proper page.

With that done, the finished Front and Back covers will be attached and the completed book will be ready for upload to the community.

I tell you all this so that you can see how close we are to the finish line.

The bad news?

We may run 7-10 days past Christmas. Yes, we could just shove it out the door, but it is critical to the team to get this thing right (or as right as it can be.). We had a few last minute glitches to correct that set things back, but with those corrected we are working as hard as we can each day.

Thanks in advance for your patience!

Best Wishes,

Phil

We may still make it. Thing is, it is the weekend before Christmas -- and none of us can guarantee the kind of availability that would gurantee finishing the project over this weekend. We're in four disparate time zones, making timely responses to emails problematic.

But as PJ points out there isn't that much to be done.

Regards,

Hi Pagol!

Things are wrapping up for the book!

Last weekend the last massive proofing and fine-tuning session took place and the layout team is busy implementing those requested changes.

The covers are finished and ready to go

The Blade website is being developed and content uploaded to it.

The UPC code for Blade has been purchased and is now installed on the book's back cover.

We are almost to the finish line!

Phil
