Post subject:  weapon schools

So, I've been playing around the idea of weapon schools. I like them, especially since there were historical weapon schools (or at least fightbooks with a general overall plan). I've been trying to reconstruct some historical weapon schools. I've mostly used info from Wikipedia and the ARMA site. Here's a couple of tries. I'd appreciate any comments.

Dardi: Achille Marozzo 1536; also Mancolini early 1500.
Type: Progressive
Enrollment Requirements: Freeman or higher
Primary Focus: Cut & Thrust
Specialization: Sidesword or Cut & Thrust (+1)
Secondary Focus: Sword & Shield (-1), Longsword, Dagger (-2)
Outside Focus: Polearms, Wrestling (-3)
Special: standard progressive stuff.

Fiori dei Liberi 1409/1410
Type: traditional
Enrollment Requirements: High freeman +
Primary Focus: longsword
Specialization: bastard sword (+2)
Secondary Focus: “sword in 1h”, dagger, poleaxe (-2 all)
Outside Focus: polearm, wrestling, lance (-3 all)

I'm not quite sure about what to use for the "sword in 1h". It isn't sword and shield or cut and thrust as far as I can tell. I thought about allowing 1h use of the Longsword proficiency at -2, or s&sh or c&t without off hand stuff.

Really solid stuff, toli!

Makes me almost wish I'd use the weapon school rules in my own games.

It is wonderful to see community in action!

Excellent work Toli -- implementations of the weapon schools mechanic are always welcome!
