Last time I looked into this on the official TRoS SatF forum there were several ideas on how to follow up the lack of a release.

The silence is discouraging.

Does anyone know what's happening with this because right now TRoS effectivally doesn't have any rules for magic - its between systems and its doing my head in.

I'm sick--I'll start bugging them again when I feel better.

And if I can't anything by end of May I should have free time this summer.

I have a license from Driftwood to produce TRoS material for my 14th century French setting. I can't produce TRoS generic rulebooks or Weyrth material. As I understand it though I could produce a real-world magic system, which would be 14th century Lyon specific in the same way as SatF would have been or will be Weyrth-specific.

My main area of interest is the creation of a "real medieval" magic system for my 14th century Lyon campaign. I have Maimonides "The Guide For The Perplexed" and I am going to base my system on his 12th century analysis of the beliefs/philosophy of the Mu'tazilah sect of the Mohammedans. So rather than taking writings on magic and trying to use them as the basis for a magic system using the new SatF framework -- a path littered with problems IMO -- my intent is to take a medieval philosopher's analysis of another medieval people's beliefs/philosophy on how the universe worked and use those views as the basis for a magic system.

Regards,
